Masquerade Ball

Hi again,

So like I said we had our work christmas function on the Friday that just passed. It was loads of fun- it was at St Matthews in the City (a church!) just across from Sky City. They had it fully decked out loads of free booze and great food - SO SO much seafood. I love seafood and I love the seafood in this country!!!! I drank champagne all night (hmmmm) Georgia and Pondy will remember how that always ends up. But I was pretty well behaved - you know the whole I've just started work thingy....

Thats all I can say, I'll put some pictures up that I thought were funny. I had a lot of fun with two Filipino girls - Maricel who also just started work and Jennifer (her flatmate)! I also found a horse... muahahaa. So needed a photo with him too. Check out Will dancing (yes, he was REALLY DRUNK!!!)

Stanmore Beach

Ciao people!!!!!

So I've been pretty damn slack on the posts. I started work 2 weeks ago and I'm actually enjoying it. Its quit a shock and its pretty hard going back to public practice after being in commerce for awhile.. plus you all know I did sweet FA at HMT!!!!!!

Whats been going on....well on Friday we went to my work's Christmas function - it was a masquerade (sp??) ball - it was great fun! I think a couple of the girlies took pics, so I'll put some up when they come through. I had a great time I got up and danced to the cheesy music, Will danced too - although he was way more smashed than me!!!!!

Then yesterday Mark, Caroline, Will and I went to Stanmore beach - thats where the 2 pics above are taken. Mark took the pictures, that last one we didn't know he was taking photos of us being all smushy and loved up ;o) Its a good picture tho! Cool tree! I managed to graze my knee getting into that tree too how is that possible. The beach was lovely, really quiet. I walked along and checked out all the rocks and shells. Nice and relaxing!

Anyway, I will put a few more pics up that Mark took. Enjoy!

Love ya x x

North Head

Hey guys! On the weekend that just passed we all went on a day trip to North Head! Which is kinda on the north shore (I think, I could be completely wrong). North head was a defence fort set up in the 1800s against a feared Russain attack and then expanded later for WW1 and 2. It was good fun traipsing around, although someone could have told me because I wore flip flops!!!! Anyway, it had great views of the city and lots of fun tunnels and stuff :o)

Here are 2 pics, sorry I'm being so rude in the pic - its cos Mark took the photo!!! We always give each other the finger... hmm that sounds random! anyway you know what I mean!

Kiwi road trip anyone??

Hey guys, ok I've been pretty good with the posts recently! I haven't put any photos up of our holiday away - here are some scenic ones below. Sorry, I know there's no pics of me or Will!!! Mark took some of us all on the weekend that just past when we went to North Head - on the North Shore, so I'll put them up too!

This is at Rotarura - at Te Pui, we could see all the geysers going off, stunk big time of sulphur but was cool to walk around and have a look!

This is the beach near Tauranga - near Mt Maunganui reminded me of home a bit, with the sand and the beach paths. You can see it was a tad chilly when we went but we still went for a walk along the beach :o) I even got a nice shell!!!

We stopped here on our way to Wellington - its Haku falls, we just stopped at a look out point, there was just so much water - you can't really see from the pic. But it was really pretty!

The whole holiday was fun, we spent loads of time driving, well I should say Will drove lots but it was good to spend so much time together after being apart for so long it meant we could talk about stupid stuff, serious stuff, just anything we thought of! Apart from the crappy weather I had a great holiday! Wellington is really different to Auckland - bloody crazy windy but was interesting town centre... we caught up with Listy - a mate of Wills there too. That was fun, we went out and got trolleyed!!!

Rotaroura was cool too - LOADS of motels! See why they call it rota-vegas! We had a nice dinner there and were very touristy and went to Te Pui to see the geysers and then we went on the luge - thats is so fun!!!! They're like these little carty things and you go zooming down this track and have to catch a chair lift back to the top!

That was my first holiday in NZ! Plenty more to come I'm sure.

Til next time, love ya x x
